On the occasion of World Consumer Day, on March 15, this year an event was held to focus attention on the growing number of consumers - children.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia and the Twinning project of the European Union "Reinfrcement of consumer protection in Serbia as a response to the new market challenges", a competition of eight Belgrade primary schools was held. The student teams, which consisted of seventh and eighth grade students, competed in knowledge of consumer rights, but also showed their creativity by arranging improvised shopping window displays according to the topics they had chosen in advance.
The primary schools "Sveti Sava", "Filip Kljajić Fića", "Kneginja Milica", "Jovan Popović", "Dositej Obradović", "Svetozar Miletić", "Despot Stefan Lazarević" and the host school "Mihailo Petrović Alas" participated in the competition.
The EU twinning project provided prizes for all the competing teams and their professors-mentors, while the winning team of Elementary School "Jovan Popović" was also awarded with tickets to the Museum of Illusions in Belgrade for its competing classes.
